About Us

With over four generations of skill and expertise and with an honest and dedicated passion for all things willow, we’ve been able to remain at the forefront of the industry as the UK’s leading basket maker. Quality, innovation and a first class service have all contributed to our success throughout the years.

Our Values
We made our first willow coffin in 1998, since that day we’ve continued to provide a passionate, loving and dedicated service for those families wishing to make one of our Somerset willow coffins a meaningful final tribute to their loved one. At the most difficult of times the smallest things can make a big difference which is why we go the extra mile to make sure that each of our coffins is unique and special.

Our willow coffins are lovingly handmade and finished in our Somerset workshops by one of our experienced basket makers using willow grown locally on the Somerset levels. Each of our willow coffins can be personalised with a beautiful selection of coloured banding and handles upon the family’s request, In addition we can weave into the coffin matching crosses, symbols and designs should this be the wish of the family.

Our Somerset willow coffins leave the perfect lasting footprint for the environmentally conscious individual seeking to have a greener send-off. Willow is a wonderful material that has many ecological attributes which makes it one of the few truly environmentally friendly materials available. Who We Are
We’re still very much a family run business with Darrell and Anthony Hill, third and fourth generations collectively leading from the front. We are based just outside of Bridgwater right in the heart of the Somerset Levels, our passionate team consists of 25 individuals, of which 20 are fully trained basket makers. With the desire to teach new apprentices a traditional handcraft to exemplary levels, each of our employees must complete a stringent five year training program. This ensures that each item we make is of the highest possible quality and to exacting standards. Traditional at heart, contemporary in vision, we’re always looking to the future and glancing back at the same time, to remember the values and beliefs that have brought us to the point we stand today.
